SJR was founded in 2025 based on a conversation between old friends about doing more with our talents and time. We share a love for all things Celtic, and when we discovered that St. Patrick is the patron Saint of Engineering, we took it as a sign that SJR was meant to be. Our company name and logo is an homage to the things that brought us together and inspired us to make something of our own.​​

Behind SJR are two founders who bring complementary experience, shared values, and a commitment to excellence in both life and work.

Josh is a husband and father of two with a uniquely diverse background that shapes his approach to business and leadership. He brings over 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, more than 18 years of military service and leadership in the U.S. Air Force (Air National Guard), and over a decade of hands-on construction experience. His educational background ranges from an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Non-Destructive Testing to a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry. Josh leads with integrity and purpose, using his faith as a guiding compass in both life and business. Outside of SJR, he owns and operates a personal training business and is deeply passionate about fitness. He is an Obstacle Course Racing World Champion in his age group and has been recognized as Air National Guard Athlete of the Year. Whether for work or competition, he enjoys exploring new places through running and discovering new training environments along the way.

Ross is a husband and father of three who brings over 20 years of engineering experience to SJR. His depth of technical knowledge and practical expertise is complemented by licensure in more than 25 states, allowing SJR to serve clients across a broad geographic footprint. Outside of work, Ross enjoys staying active by running races—often alongside Josh—along with driving and racing cars, and spending quality time with his family. His passion for engineering is matched by his dedication to precision, reliability, and delivering high-quality solutions for every project.
